This is ridiculous!

All of you need to harass Jeff and tell him to post more often. He says that I can just do it, but I personally like to see what he has to say. In the mean time you can check out things on our family blog at www.inthelifeofthesuchers.blogspot.com

Spring is Here (Well at least Cardinal Baseball anyway)

This is my favorite time of the year, the time when the trees start to become green again, the flowers bloom, the sun stays out longer and baseball reigns supreme.

Kim has learned this is a special time of year and has just accepted it as part of our married life. I was a bit skeptical about the start of the season as most of the household names with the Cardinals have moved on to other places. I have been pleasantly surprised to see the Cardinals have started out at a 6-2 clip. Hopefully the team can keep it together long enough to be in contention when Mark Mulder and Chris Carpenter return this summer.

I must say that I do love Kim and the liberty she provides me and my love for the Cardinals.

On a lighter note, you can check out Morgan's cute easter dress on Kim's blog http://inthelifeofthesuchers.blogspot.com

Clifford - My New Enemy

Morgan is becoming accustomed to what TV programs are on at what times of the day. It just happens that Clifford comes on a 7 am each weekday. Most of the time I am up and its not that big of a deal, but there are a few days I can sleep until 7:30 or 8:00. She does the same routine of waking up and fussing a bit until we give her a bottle. But no sooner than she has the bottle in her mouth, she has the remote in her hand and asking "Please" and pointing to the TV. I guess that we perhaps brought it on ourself one day as we turned it on to give her something to do while we were getting ready. Alas, out child is becoming addicted to the Big Red Dog.

I used to have a great love for Clifford myself, but I now I see him as my sworn enemy.

From Ben's Wedding to Guitar Hero

I have been poor at best at keeping this thing updated, so much so that Kim started her own blog, http://inthelifeofthesuchers.blogpsot.com

Having said all that, I have been very busy the last while. In addition to buying a business, trying to keep my wife and child happy and studying for my licensing exams, I did manage to find a few minutes to slide over to Utah for my college roommate, Ben Johnson's wedding.

It was a great day weather wise to get married. Logistics wise, it was a bit more difficult. President Hinckley's funeral was the same time and got over right before Ben and Steph's sealing. Needless to say, it was difficult to find a place to park downtown. It all worked out and the wedding went off without a hitch. It was a great experience to be there. Finally, after April, all of that apartment will be married. That is Aaron Meacham, Nate Watson and Ben Johnson. Crazy that I took care of business four years ago and these jokers all decided to get married within six weeks of each other. Honestly I am glad and exited for them all and very proud they all married in the Temple.

Nate, Ben and Me

As Valentines Day approached, Kim and I decided we would get each other "Guitar Hero" as our gift to one another. Yeah, I know most people who will read this will say that I pushed for that, however, Kim was just as much a part of that purchase as I was.

Kim made a great meal on Valentines Day. I got home and she had shrimp and king crab prepared. Having served in Alaska, I gained quite a taste for king crab and it is one of my favorite things to eat. As our meal progressed, Morgan decided she would like to partake of the goodness of king crab. She is not shy about taking food or anything from another individual, so as I turned my head, she swiped one of the legs on my plate. Oddly enough, she also has quite a taste for succulent king crab.

It turned out to be a great Valentines Day.

Who Will You Vote For?

With all the hype going around about the Presidential races, I found this video to say volumes about certain Presidential candidates. I actually take my politics rather seriously, but this definately lightened the mood on all the drama as of late.

Happy 2008

It's crazy to think that 2008 is upon us. Nothing like ringing in the New Year with three bowl games. Kim has certainly had her fill with football for 2008. Thank goodness for her, it is winding down. (Only 49 days until pitchers and catchers report to spring training :))

We are loving the Denver area, except when the freeway gets shut down for an entire day because of avalanche danger. Two of my employees weren't able to get to two of our towns to perform operations due to the closure. Oh well, I'm sure those who were stuck at the ski resorts somehow made due with the extra time they found on the slopes.

We had Kim's family in town for Christmas. Thank goodness Benson, her brother, has a home large enough to accommodate. We had a good time as I did my usual working of the in laws on the XBox. Benson's home has a stage built into the basement and the rendition of The Christmas Story aka Luke II was quite comical. We made it through about 15 versus before Morgan made it to the stage and started to scream, which started the onslaught of . At this point, all the kids involved were screaming or trying to talk louder to ensure all could here them speak. All in all, a good time was had.
